Before you even start to consider if you prefer marble gum or epoxy for the grouting of your tiles, you first have to make sure what type of tiles do you currently have.

Marble gum application requires sanding and polishing a layer off the tile to make the whole floor seamless. This means that the tile required for marble gum application must at least be half-bodied homogeneous tiles – not your fancy-coloured porcelain tiles.
